About Me

I currently work in cloud technologies, specifically boto3 and AWS. My main focus is scaling out and deploying applications among large enterprises. I enjoy learning about the cloud, and hope to expand my knowledge to Azure and Google Compute as hybrid cloud deployments become more of a reality. I also like the promise of AI, and frequently seek opportunities to contribute in that space.

Aside from technology, I am an avid reader with a current focus in financial markets and human psychology. I do yoga to keep fit, and I find it helps with staying focused. Finally, I love to cook for others, and will jump at the chance to host or attend dinner parties and potlucks!

Work Experience

Data Engineer - Capital One (July 2017 - Present)

Leading deployment architecture efforts to scale out the deployment of the Cerebro product. Cerebro is a third-party application that Capital One is using to control data access in S3. We are helping them develop the product so that they can be ready for their GA release next year. Currently we are at 200 users, and expect that to grow to 5000 by the end of 2018. My responsibilities include designing and implementing the deployment orchestration among multiple AWS accounts and environments.
